    Zach's Bio:
I am a Senior Global, Cultural and Language Studies major, with a Spanish minor. I am also taking the prerequisites for PA school, which I plan to attend after undergrad. Due to my diverse area of study I usually have to spend quite a bit of time studying, but after hitting the books I can always find something to do here at CSS. You can usually find me hanging out at the rock wall in the BWC but as soon as the snow hits I take every chance I can to get out to Spirit Mountain. I’m enjoying life now and I’m excited to see what CSS has for me in the future!

Vacation

I got back from my midterm vacation late last night around 10:30 after busing through Ecuador all day. It was a fantastic trip that consisted of many bus hours and three different little beach towns called Canoa, Puerto Lopez and Montañita. And although others may have packed a few more places into their short week off, I definitely enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of my slow paced trip. My one classmate and I started off late on Friday with a night bus ride to Canoa and luckily found a cheap little hotel after our 5am arrival. The days there were spent with surf lessons and chilling on the beach. Come Sunday, we made our way south a few hours to Puerto Lopez where we just spent a day seeing La Isla De La Plata, also known as the poor man’s Galapagos. It was quite a cool little island and was full of many different birds including the famous Blue Footed Boobies. And although I’m not exactly a bird fanatic I had a blast snorkeling around the island. Last but not least, we headed further south to Montañita. This was by far my favorite place and is a classic hangout for surfers. It had nice hostels, restaurants, discotecas and all the works for a cheap spring break trip. There, we surfed and ate cheap but delicious and filling meals by day and enjoyed the crazy party scene by night.
