Thievery
I got to witness my first robbery in Quito yesterday.. A classmate and myself were waiting at a bus stop on our way to class and out of no where the guy standing right next to me took a girl’s purse and bolted for it. By the time I even noticed he was already out the door. Luckily, the guy tripped a bit and the girl got her purse back. I guess I could say I saw my first unsuccessful robbery.. I was always told to be careful while studying abroad here, but I had gotten lazy. That was a real eye opener and I’ll have stay keep aware from now on.
