My new bedroom
I couldn’t have asked for a better arrival to Quito, Ecuador – my host mom and some course instructors were there to greet me and some of the other students, and drive us to their lovely homes. I have taken the first two days to rest and get accustomed to the altitude (9350 feet) while often gasping for my breath due to the lack of oxygen. But luckily I am well and haven’t come across any bugs, yet. Today my classmates and I met and had a classic syllabus day for a few hours and learned what to do and what not to do. And as of now, I have yet to speak or hear in English, even the other students are staying strong with the language immersion – my mind is going crazy and i’m pretty sure it’s just about overloaded… For now satisfy your curiosities about Ecuador with these few pictures of my new room and look for many more in the future!
