My Major

The major that I have chosen is Exercise Physiology with a Physical Therapy intention. Physical Therapists help relieve pain, build strength, restore function of, and prevent disability of an injury or condition that causes pain or limits someone from doing something. In Exercise Physiology you look at how exercise affects the body and how it works with your body to accomplish tasks. I chose this major because I get injured a lot! I had a concussion when I was 12 or 13 that lasted 6 months, and I went to physical therapy twice a week for 6 months. The physical therapist I had changed my life! She was so kind, understanding, encouraging and patient with me. I couldn’t have gotten better if it wasn’t for her and her drive to make me better; and I want to do that for others. I want to help everyone with any problem they have, and studying Exercise Physiology with the intention of Physical Therapy is my calling.
