    Tianna's Bio:
I'm a nursing intended major, biology/psychology minor and a part of the Honors program. In addition to school, I also work at McCarthy Manor as a CNA. In my "freetime" I like to explore Duluth, hang out with the girls, color, go to concerts, fish, hunt, enjoy the great outdoors, and spend time with my family and my boyfriend. I love Scholastica and Duluth and can't wait to spend the next couple of years here.

Hi-ho Hi-ho, Off to Campus we go!

Hey There!Cedar Hall

In the last couple of days, I managed to sneak a peak at a couple of rooms in Cedar Hall. Perfect? I think so ūüôā¬†Cedar Hall¬†is one of the many apartment buildings on campus.¬†There¬†will be four of us in¬†an apartment which is constructed of:¬†two bedrooms,¬†a bathroom, a kitchen and a living area. My roommates and I are¬†super excited¬†about having our own kitchen. Waffle Wednesdays…I think so!¬†

All incoming freshman are required to live on campus for two years. Somers is our freshman residency hall. Within Somers Hall, there are dorms and suites, GDR, and health services. Check out my video The Suite Life¬†for a tour of¬†Somers Suites. On welcome weekend, prop your door open when you’re inside. It will let people passing by know that it’s¬†okay to come in and chat.

Scholastica has incredibly nice on campus housing. ¬†So in all actuality, the two year residency requirement isn’t all that bad. Living on campus creates many opportunities to meet new people and is extremely convenient. At any time, you are within walking distance to classes,¬†food and coffee, quiet study areas, and the wellness center.¬† In addition, washers and dryers are in each building. Best part, they are free to use. Another bonus…parking.¬† Not only can you save money from gas, but you also can avoid the headache of finding a parking spot as a commuting student.¬†

Speaking of parking, permits are now available for purchase. If you are planning on bringing a car to campus, you must purchase a permit. Parking is going to be tight this year so just a reminder, if you don’t need to bring a car, leave it at home.
