    Tayler's Bio:
My name is Tayler and I was an English major/biology minor at the College of St. Scholastica! I have lived in Duluth all of my life so I know all the best local restaurants and hiking trails. On campus, I was involved with The Cable, Bella Voce, the Northstar Reports, the McNair Scholars Program, Student Support Services, and the English & Arts Club. Off campus, I volunteered with Mentor Duluth and enjoy throwing theme parties with friends and family.

UMD Jazz Scholarship Fund Concert

One of the fun things about living in a college town like Duluth is the ability to attend all kinds of local performances, including those from other campuses. The University of Minnesota Duluth is just a short walk from the St. Scholastica Campus. Many of my UMD friends attend my English & Arts Club events and choir concerts so tonight I decided to return the favor and attend the UMD Jazz Scholarship Fund Concert. The concert featured the UMD Jazz Ensemble I and II, the Big Time Jazz Orchestra, and special guest Ron Wilkins. Ron Wilkins is a New York City based musician that plays tenor the trombone, bass trombone, euphonium, tuba, and bass trumpet. He has toured around the world with his own groups, as well as premiere artists. It was really cool to check out a style of performance that I’m not super familiar with and it was even more fun to meet and hang out with some of the performers.
