    Tayler's Bio:
My name is Tayler and I was an English major/biology minor at the College of St. Scholastica! I have lived in Duluth all of my life so I know all the best local restaurants and hiking trails. On campus, I was involved with The Cable, Bella Voce, the Northstar Reports, the McNair Scholars Program, Student Support Services, and the English & Arts Club. Off campus, I volunteered with Mentor Duluth and enjoy throwing theme parties with friends and family.

Talent Show

My favorite thing about this photo is that every singer and signer dressed to match their own styles and personalities, just like the Muses from Hercules! For the Talent Show my friends and I sang and did sign language to “I won’t say (I’m in love)” from Hercules. The idea was to portray the contrast between voice and sign yet show how beautiful each element is to music. This was our last year in the talent show and we spent a lot of time rehearsing to make sure our act was fun, kid friendly, and correctly interpreted. My friend Kaylin, pictured next to me at center, has done a sign language interpreted show every year as a way to share her passion of American Sign Language and create a more inclusive talent show performance. This is such a creative and unique way to promote inclusivity and I was thrilled to be a part of it.
