    Tayler's Bio:
My name is Tayler and I was an English major/biology minor at the College of St. Scholastica! I have lived in Duluth all of my life so I know all the best local restaurants and hiking trails. On campus, I was involved with The Cable, Bella Voce, the Northstar Reports, the McNair Scholars Program, Student Support Services, and the English & Arts Club. Off campus, I volunteered with Mentor Duluth and enjoy throwing theme parties with friends and family.

Local Eating with your Study Group

When you are stuck on a project and need to get the creative juices flowing, there are several great locations to grab a bite to eat in the Duluth area.

The Perk Place Coffeehouse & Bakery is a fairly new Duluth location. Located on 1336 W. Arrowhead Road, this eatery is within walking distance of campus. This location has a relaxed vibe and plenty of tables and couches, so get to work on that group project!
My pick: Mango Smoothie and a blueberry muffin.

Sara’s Table (Chester Creek Cafe) is a beautiful little eatery. Located on 1924 E. 8th Street, you’ll feel right at home when you walk in to a roaring fireplace and shelves filled with books and magazines. It’s homey feel makes it the perfect place to study and you know the food is good because it was featured on food network’s Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri.
My pick: Ham and Gouda Melt, Shaved ham, caramelized onion, honey mustard, 3rd street 8 grain.

Toasty’s is a specialty restaurant located on 1032 East 9th st. What’s their specialty? Grilled cheese! It may sound strange, but give this restaurant a change and you’ll be reliving childhood with some classic soup and sandwiches.
My pick: Fast Break, all my favorite things about breakfast in one sandwich.
