    Tayler's Bio:
My name is Tayler and I was an English major/biology minor at the College of St. Scholastica! I have lived in Duluth all of my life so I know all the best local restaurants and hiking trails. On campus, I was involved with The Cable, Bella Voce, the Northstar Reports, the McNair Scholars Program, Student Support Services, and the English & Arts Club. Off campus, I volunteered with Mentor Duluth and enjoy throwing theme parties with friends and family.

Bentleyville

One of my favorite winter activities in Duluth is seeing the “Bentleyville Tour of Lights”.¬†Nathan Bentley first started decorating his home in Esko, MN in 2001. I vaguely remember visiting his home as a child. The drive-by tour became a walking tour and featured visits from Santa Claus. Each year, his light displays grew bigger and bigger, eventually becoming known as Bentleyville. Since then, it has moved locations a few times and is now the biggest light display in the country. I’ve made a tradition to go every year with friends and loved ones to enjoy the beautiful lights, Christmas music, and free treats. I have also made it a tradition to buy a new Bentleyville hat every year. So far, I am up to seven hats! This event is definitely one you do not want to miss.
