End of Summer Semester

Sunday, July 30th, 2017

My online class is DONE! I am so relieved to have completed another year of summer classes on a strong note. I think I’ve been taking at least one summer course for almost 4 summer straight! But that’s the sacrifice for the degree right?! This class wasn’t hard, but it was challenging. Computer coding isn’t a strong suit for me, but through virtual teamwork and communication skills I was able to learn a lot and to complete all of my assignments. I don’t know if I’ll ever use the skills that I learned in this class in my future profession, but that’s not the point, the point is that I’m a better person for taking this challenging course and that I am now more rounded in my education. Always take the challenge with an open mind and you may just end up surprising yourself!

Summer School

Monday, May 22nd, 2017

Many students take summer school! Summer school is a great way to catch up on classes if you have made a recent major change. This is also normal for graduate school. Possibly even a good option for you if you want to graduate early! I am taking 1 class this summer and it starts very soon! This summer I will talk all about how to balance summer fun with studies, and even a part time job! Stay tuned in!

Last class almost done

Tuesday, August 11th, 2015

My last summer class ends next week and I couldn’t be more excited! I will finally have a little bit of summer to enjoy without any homework. I haven’t minded taking summer school at all, but it will be a stress relief not to have to worry about school for a couple weeks before it all starts again! Senior year, here I come!

Finishing a class

Thursday, June 4th, 2015

Summer classes can be very challenging compared to normal classes because they are generally online and very condensed. I’m almost done with one of most time consuming parts of summer so fat, Women in Religion. It’s a traditional 7 weeks class compacted into 3 weeks. I’ve had quizes every other day, writings due every day, a project due at the end of each week, and now I’m finishing up a paper on a novel, taking a quiz, writing two small papers, and one final paper all within the next couple of days. My advice; if you’re going to take a compact summer course make sure you have the time available to get the work done on time!
