For Management Ethics this week we were assigned a Research Project focusing on the Pillars of Character. The group I’m in chose respect. Individually, we are writing a paper, about what it means to us, and how it relates to the Benedictine values. As a group we have to either make a poster or an exhibit which we will present to the class.
It’s midterm season. I took a test today for Organizational Behavior, which was a lot harder than I expected. The study guide that I did covered everything that was on the test, but my fault was that I didn’t focus on some of the details that the essay questions focused on. It happens. Tomorrow I have another test. This time it’s for Human Resource Management. This is the first time I’ve had this professor, so I’m not sure how the wording will be. The study guide is done, of course. Now, I’m just studying and making sure I understand the concepts. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow!
On Monday. Wednesdays, and Fridays I have Organizational Behavior and Organizational Development. They are both taught by Lynn, my advisor. She is one of my favorite professors, so having her twice in one day three times a week will not be a problem for me. This semester is looking very good for me. I like my classes, professors, and schedule. My last semester at CSS will be a positive one. 🙂
Today I had Management Ethics, and Human Resource Management. Usually, on the first day of class we go over what’s expected from students and we go over a tentative class schedule. I think both classes will be very interesting, and challenging. In both classes we will be talking about ethics, obviously in management ethics that will be the main topic. Management ethics also counts as a writing intensive class, which is a general education requirement. In Human Resources we got to chose teams, which like Team Development, we will work in these teams for the rest of the semester, this time though we can leave or fore members in our team. Lucky for me, two of people from Team Development are in Human Resource, so naturally we formed a team together. These two classes will require a lot of work. I’ve gone over the expectations so I’ll be in control of my work and know what’s coming up.
