Life in Duluth

Sunday, March 31st, 2019

Yesterday we went to a trampoline park, dined in an outstanding smokehouse, and stopped by the Snowball dance before calling it a night. You might be thinking that trampolines are only for kids, but who wouldn’t like to re-embody the acrobatic gymnast we have all suppressed from our childhood in a trampoline park designed for adults? And surely, there’s nothing better than having a substantial, exceptionally tasty meal (although a little pricey, I should admit) after burning all of those calories. An added benefit of OMC (said smokehouse) is that they own several other restaurants in the area, and they will deliver the food to them much faster than if you were waiting to be seated in the smokehouse itself. And finally, what better way to finish off the night than changing into a suit (the dance was James Bond themed) and dancing to some music?

OMC Smokehouse

Today, my girlfriend and I got to catch up with my aunt and uncle at a “new” restaurant in West Duluth. Although this place has been open for a little over a year, none of us had previously been there. The OMC Smokehouse, the OMC apparently standing for “Oink”, “Moo”, and “Cluck”, was fantastic. Their menu was full of delicious options for both the meat and fish lover. Check out their menu below to see all sorts of items that are likely to please whatever crew you go there with. OMC also has a wide selection of local craft beers, a nice wine selection, and other non-alcoholic beverages to quench your thirst. OMC Smokehouse is located at 1909 W. Superior St. in Duluth. They are located just a bock from the Bent Paddle Brewery, as well, and they even deliver food to the brewery – quite the partnership if I do say so myself. The restaurant also had a nice sized outdoor area where folks can sit or stand next to fires and enjoy the fresh outdoor air of Duluth. Looking for a new spot to eat, be sure to check out OMC Smokehouse!!
