Yay!

I did it! (Kind of.)

WE did it, and it’s been a fun ride!

But I’m very happy it’s over. Don’t worry, you’ll still hear from me, but from here on out, my posts will be a little less guilt-driven and little more free-will. I wanted to do something special to commemorate my last post in the NaBloPoMo challenge, but lately it seems that my creativity seems to dwindle around 7pm, so all you get is this bulleted list of things I’m thankful for today:

Alright. It’s been five days since I last posted.

Clearly, I’m not cut out for this.

BUT I have a mere two days left in the NaBloPoMo challenge, and I already told you, I refuse to be defeated. So, please forgive my lack of posts (you are all very forgiving, much thanks) and allow me to get you get you caught up.

Today I am thankful for vacation days.

Slept in ’til 9am.

Threw together some cake pops (see pics below). I say this casually, but I have to admit they took me close to 3 hours to finish. Even still, have you tasted those things? Worth it.

You know how some news stories just stick with you?

During my morning drive to work, I heard an NPR story about home foreclosures, and a newly-implemented review process meant to offer remediation for folks who were treated unfairly or improperly during their foreclosure experience (you can read/hear the full story here).
