Busy Monday

Monday, May 23rd, 2016

I kicked off my week with a busy day. Even though I spent a lot of time doing things that needed to be done, I found some time to have fun and relax also. I went to Perkins up the shore in Duluth this morning with my CSS friend Mel and her boyfriend Cody, then I drove downtown to The Red Herring, where I intern, to make a plan for the summer and check in; I do a lot of my work for The Herring from home. After that, I headed over to campus for a meeting in OneStop to discuss the financial side of my experience abroad at Regents University London for the coming fall [eeeeeek, so exciting!]. I was not planning on working today, but I picked up a shift last minute at Canal Park Brewing Company to help someone out. So, all in all I was fairly busy, but I found the time to enjoy myself throughout the day as well.

imageThis week at St. Scholastica it’s Winterfest! To start off the week CAB (campus activities board) set free cookies and frosting to decorate them and set up a matchmaking quiz. The quiz is a personality test that will match you with someone that has similar personality traits! It’s was a fun way to add some excitement to a Monday.

The Start of The Week

Monday, November 16th, 2015

It’s Monday! The weekend is finally over and it is time to start studying once again. Usually during the weekends I tend to lay my homework off since I like to rest those days. However, once the weekend is over then I have to hit the books once again. Happy Monday everyone!

Monday Again…

Monday, November 16th, 2015

Well, after another exciting weekend, Monday has returned once again. I am especially tired today and I went to bed around 11:00 last night, so I’m not sure why I feel so exhausted. This week is, yet again, another really busy one. I have three papers to write plus hundreds of pages to read by Friday. Some of my friends don’t understand how I spend so much time at my desk doing homework, but with the amount of material that I have to read, I should be spending a lot more time at my desk! Sometimes I just read in bed and then end up falling asleep for 10 minutes, so that doesn’t always work out to well for me. Luckily I just have to get through this week, then two days mext week, and then we get Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off for Thanksgiving. That is something I am especially thankful for! I know I will have homework to do, but that’s okay because I won’t have to wake up early and go to class or work or practice, so it will be a nice break. I am even considering staying here and just going home when my family has our meal on Thanksgiving Day. That’s one of the best perks of being only 25 minutes away from my hometown! Because I’m so close, I got to go to my nephews birthday party yesterday, stop and visit my grandma, and not have to drive three hours one way to do that! I’m hoping that I perk up soon because I have class in two minutes, but if not, then I’ll just have to take a quick nap during  my lunch!
