Deans List

Friday, December 30th, 2016

All of the grades were posted today for the Fall Semester and I’m super excited that I met my goal of a 4.0. This will be my second time on the Deans List and my first time with all A’s. The transition from high school to college level learning was a tough one but with the help of Student Support Services, my Professors, study buddies, and my change in major I am doing great. All of my classes this semester are towards my English major and standing as an Honors student with the exception of the Bella Voce Women’s Choir which I take for a scholarship and because it’s amazing. I’m hoping I can repeat this feat next semester as well so I can graduate as a Websters Scholar!

Murder Mystery Party

Friday, December 16th, 2016

The English & Arts Club has a Murder Mystery Party every semester and it’s always a great time! This semester we did the Jane Austen Murder Mystery Party complete with characters from Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Emma. This was extra fun because several of our guests had attended the performance of “Sense and Sensibility” at the Guthrie theater earlier this semester.

Christmas Caroling

Thursday, December 15th, 2016

Today I snagged a video of the CSS Choirs and friends did some Caroling around campus! The music department does this every year to celebrate the Christmas season and participate in our Benedictine traditions. It’s super fun listening to all the different voices combine and echo down the halls. Several professors stopped classes and opened their doors to listen to the Caroling. I was definitely late for class as well but it was worth it!
