Spring Scrimmage Day

Sunday, April 22nd, 2018

Yesterday was a long, soccer filled day. The St. Scholastica Women’s soccer team, which I am a member of, had three games. The first game at 10 am was over at Griggs Field at UMD. Unfortunately we started off rough and let in goals early. As the game progressed, however, we gained confidence and finished strong. The second game was at 12:20 pm at Saints Field. We played Lake Superior Community College, and we played very well. At that point, most of us were becoming fatigued, but we pushed through and got the win. The third and final game was against our alumni at Saints Field. That game is always difficult because the alumni go so hard, and we were all so tired from playing two games prior. The best part of the day was after our final game though because pizza and Gatorade was waiting for us on the sideline. Overall the day was perfect weather and filled with fun. Also, I got my first sunburn of the year… So thankful for aloe vera!!

Deans List

Friday, December 30th, 2016

All of the grades were posted today for the Fall Semester and I’m super excited that I met my goal of a 4.0. This will be my second time on the Deans List and my first time with all A’s. The transition from high school to college level learning was a tough one but with the help of Student Support Services, my Professors, study buddies, and my change in major I am doing great. All of my classes this semester are towards my English major and standing as an Honors student with the exception of the Bella Voce Women’s Choir which I take for a scholarship and because it’s amazing. I’m hoping I can repeat this feat next semester as well so I can graduate as a Websters Scholar!
