Library Study Time

Today I found myself in the St. Scholastica library taking a practice exam for my upcoming National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE). The library is a great spot for getting work done. The 2nd and 3rd floors are reserved for “quiet study”, and the first floor is often times used for larger group projects where some discussion goes on.

How to Study For Finals

For us students, at CSS, finals week is only 3 weeks away. This can be very intimidating because it seems so far away but it will come up in a very short period. For me, this semester I have 3 different types of finals.

Sushi Final

For finals in my information systems computer science class we got together and learned how to make sushi and it was so much fun. Now I’m not a huge sushi fan because I don’t like fish all that much so I went and made a whole bunch of veggie rolls for myself. It was a really interesting and fun time and the sushi ended up tasting really great so I’m happy about that.

Pre-Raphaelite Final

For my Pre-Raphaelite final with Dr. Hagen I did a photo project with Pre-Raphealite inspired themes. Shayna acted as my Ophelia, posing in natural and watery settings. We took over 300 photos and I ended up using 13 for my final project. I did some photoshop, but very minimal to keep with the Pre-Raphaelite belief that we should show things the way they were, not the way we want them to be. I was really lucky that it was such a beautiful day so I was able to capture high detail on the camera. This shoot went so well I ended up using a few of the photos for my photography portfolio as well. I love creative projects like these because it really allows me to contribute to what I am learning. Here are a few of my favorites!
