TA Marathon

Friday, October 18th, 2019

Sometimes, exams need to be graded last minute. Today was one of those times. The professor wanted to return the exams tomorrow, and they were still unorganized and ungraded. She had marked the short responses, but scores needed to be added up, statistics calculated, and grades inputed in Blackboard. None of this excessively time consuming alone, but you’d be surprised how long it takes to separate and organize a folder full of ~100 exams from 3 different classes with 3 different sections each. Fortunately, I didn’t have much else going on today, so it was a good opportunity to get some hours in!

Free Chili

Saturday, September 21st, 2019

Homecoming is here! And with it, a weekend full of activities, free food and events. Today, the school organized a free dinner at Storms. Chili (with meat or vegetarian), cheese, diced onions and a wide array of sweet desserts. A nice opportunity to take a break from studying (or in my case, celebrate finishing with the first round of exams), and socialize!

Library Study Time

Friday, April 20th, 2018

Today I found myself in the St. Scholastica library taking a practice exam for my upcoming National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE). The library is a great spot for getting work done. The 2nd and 3rd floors are reserved for “quiet study”, and the first floor is often times used for larger group projects where some discussion goes on.

Final Internship… DONE

Monday, March 19th, 2018

My final internship for the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program has officially been completed. It was a great 10 weeks of working in a private practice outpatient orthopedic clinic in rural WI. I developed quite a few great professional relationships and was able to take part in a some really great opportunities that make the rural setting so special.

2017 Spring Finals Schedule

Thursday, May 4th, 2017

I apologize if the photo is tough to see. Our finals this semester are blocked off in 2 hour increments with nice long breaks in between. The 2nd year finals are in blue and they include Monday 8-10 – Lifespan Application I: Pediatrics, Monday 1-3 – Multiple System Eval and Management, Tuesday 8-10 – Administration II, and Tuesday  1-3 – Neuromuscular Eval and Management II. As for the first year students (red),  on Monday from 8-10 they are taking Exam and Eval II, Monday 1-3 – Lifespan, and Tuesday 8-10 – Interventions II. The first year students lucked out and will be on break just a few hours before the 2nd years! Darn it!
