Welcome To My Desk

Thursday, February 22nd, 2018

One of the perks of being the Student Body President is having your own desk. Here is what mine looks like. I put a ton of posters of events we are hosting and will be hosting. I also have a wall where people leave me notes.

A Valentine’s From Senate

Wednesday, February 14th, 2018

The senate team have been working hard for about a month now cutting and writing on paper hearts. Yesterday, a couple of the senate members drove to Sam’s Club and bought a whole bunch of chocolate bars. In addition, last night, members put a chocolate bar and heart in everyone’s mailbox. This morning, it was nice to see so many students go to their mailbox and receive their small valentine gift. Everyone deserves to have a valentine for this day. This was a way to show community within our campus. I love this tradition so much. Seeing people run to their mailbox just to grab their hearts and chocolates makes me so happy. Student Senate will continue to do this every year!!!

Hearts for Valentines Day

Monday, January 29th, 2018

Students Senate is doing over 2,000 valentine hearts for the student community. Today, I made about 50 hearts and we have a little over 300. The goal may seem far away, but all senators are volunteering one hour this week to reach this goal. In one hour, about 30 senators can do 50 hearts. I am glad we are dedicating time to do something small for the student community. We will end up putting the hearts in everyone’s mailbox along with a chocolate bar. Everyone deserves a small gift for valentines and this is a perfect time Senate can provide that gift for students.

First Friday Donuts!

Saturday, September 9th, 2017

Yesterday was a great day for me because of was fed with donuts from student senate. I work up early to get to my 8:30 am practice. I did not have time to eat breakfast! Luckily, after practice, I ran to student senate and grabbed a free donut. It was the perfect breakfast! I then went to storms and grabbed a milk. I saved so much time because I was planning on going back home to make myself a breakfast but the donut was a great way to start the day.
