Bentleyville 2017

Sunday, January 7th, 2018

Bentleyville, also known as the “Tour of Lights”, is a beautiful and free display of lights that is put on annually at Bayfront in Duluth. It is an event that lasts a little over a month and people travel from all over to take part in the holiday celebration. It is one of those “must do’s” when you are living in Duluth. It is a great opportunity to get out of the house, dorm, or apartment during the winter to experience some holiday cheer. There is music, fires, cookies, s’mores, popcorn, hot chocolate, SANTA, lights…and I mean a lot of lights, and it’s all for free. Check out the link above to learn more and stay tuned for the 2018 Bentleyville dates and how you can be a volunteer.

Duluth Weather

Sunday, December 25th, 2016

Merry Christmas from Duluth, MN! While it is a white Christmas, it’s not the white fluffy stuff we all know and love. Last night we got a lot of rain so our windows, cars, and roads were full of ice when we woke up today. All day today it took turns snowing, raining, and hailing but that didn’t stop us for getting out and celebrating Christmas with friends and family. Duluth is definitely a place you need ice scrapers and warm clothes to survive the weather but it’s one of the most beautiful places to live!

The beginning of the end…

Monday, December 19th, 2016

Or is it the end of the beginning as the semester draws to a conclusion? The last 2-3 weeks of school are mostly set aside for revision, preparing for final projects and exams. This depends with the class one is taking and the professor’s preference. I did my final presentations last week and took my exams as well since I was not going to be around during finals week. This semester had so much energy-sapping events that I’m glad I made it to start of something new!
