Did you know the airport in Minneapolis (MSP) has been ranked the best airport in North America? I travel relatively frequently, and I find myself spending the night at airports a bit more often than I’d like. And I will tell you: MSP is, without a doubt, the best airport in which to get stuck for the night. Besides being very spacious and clean, the staff puts out piles of mattresses, blankets and pillows for astray passengers every night at 10pm and picks them up early in the morning. And the difference between sleeping in a cold, hard, secluded corner and sleeping on a mattress with a pillow and a blanket is tremendous. So if you are a prospective international student, don’t worry about the occasional snow storm that cancels your flight—MSP has you covered!

Duluth Airport

They call it an international Airport, but it is more of a cozy, super convenient airport. Most large airports are pestered with endless shops, restaurants and infinite hallways, making your trip to the plane a rather lengthy endeavor, but there is nothing superfluous about this airport. I’ve never spent more than 5-10 minutes going through security, and the door is literally less than 100 meters from the ticket counter. And best of all, it is only 10 minutes away from CSS!
