This Is Crazy!

Sunday, April 9th, 2017

Hello all! I am realizing more and more that my freshman year of college is coming to an end; I’m studying with a friend and she told me that we have 32 days (including weekends) left of school. I am in shock! This year has flown by and I can’t believe that it’s coming to a close so quickly. I have had so much fun here and have experienced so much! I still very much believe that this is the college for me, it’s home, it’s where I should be from now until I graduate. I am so thankful to all of my professors, the faculty and staff, clubs and groups here on campus, res life, the Sisters and all of the students that have contributed to this year of growth. As this year comes to a close I realize how much has changed in the last year, how much I have grown. I have learned a lot about myself and who I want to be, but also who I want to share my life with. This year I have made some incredible friends that I am hoping to keep for a very long time. I will be continuing to post for the next couple of weeks and then I will pic it back up in the fall!

Eating Healthy

Thursday, June 16th, 2016

For the past 3-weeks I have been eating super healthy. Why am I telling you this? I am taking 3 online classes and it had become easier to me than last semester. I would eat super unhealthy during spring semester. That being said, it ends up taking a toll on people. I work 40 hours a week but I feel more energized!

First Full Day Back

Tuesday, January 19th, 2016

The start of my semester has been pretty interesting. I was energized and motivated to get back into the swing of things at school, so much that I was going to get here Sunday morning. However, that didn’t actually happen. Sunday was at least -20 degrees and when I went to pack my car, my car was frozen shut! Now living in Minnesota, I’m totally used to this happening. A lot. But usually, a quick shoulder ram, hot water (which is actually bad I’ve learned and can crack your window if it comes in contact with class), or rubbing alcohol will do the trick. On Sunday, my dad couldn’t even get my door open! The door itself opened to a certain extent, but the lock inside the door was frozen completely. Thus, I did not go to school Sunday. I did not go anywhere actually. So, I planned to leave yesterday morning, which changed into last night after a last-minute social invite. So I got here around 7 p.m., unpacked my car all by myself in the below 0 weather, unpacked my food, meal prepped a bit, and slept. But I swear my memory foam topper must have been frozen or something. My memory foam was so hard from not being slept on and I hadn’t seen any of my roommates yet, so it was a weird night to fall asleep during. I woke up a few times even. I only had one class this morning, my Life Science lab, and then I presented the PIF to a Dignitas class. After that, I trudged back to Kerst and took a long nap and I’m still exhausted! Not a great way to start the semester. I left all my vitamins in my apartment and I think my iron deficiency is draining my energy majorly. As you grow up, your parents always nag you take your vitamins, floss, etc. etc. Once you’re in college, no one tells you these things, it’s up to you to take care of the little things. And when you don’t, sometimes there’s major consequences. Hopefully I’ll get back to my regular, functional self this week with my RA interview coming up. So here’s to me starting off a daily container of my vitamins and cleaning my room, because it’s time for me to get my act together!
