Storms of Duluth

Oh god! What a couple days we have had! Residents of Duluth witnessed some beautiful weather changes ranging from ‘morning dew’ to ‘overcast afternoon’ to ‘thunderstorm-filled evening’ to a now ‘pleasantly comfortable yet humid stability’. It almost never lets me feel like I live in a stagnant city. Although, this is untrue when we have 7-straight-months of winter.

Somedays, we enjoy this magnificent weather change in a single day, and yet don’t believe in magic. However, the recent thunderstorms were a worthy opportunity for photographers, especially nature photographers. Lightening…and the beautiful patterns they made, captivated the skies, even if just for a couple seconds was a breathtaking scene. And now we are in for some real humidity and heat.

As crazy as it may get, during this period of transition from spring to summer…our stunning city seems to have pulled up a blanket of green fluff with hints of colors in abundance. The trees get bushier, fuller and livelier with each rain that wash the dust off of this amazing city.

Here’s to a beautiful, pleasant and enjoyable summer!
