Start on that Resume
Job fairs coming up, application season on the edge…but you are still studying for that exam on Thursday? I feel you.
I have been feeling the heat as well. This pressure is nothing but lack of time, it just seems like all things are piling up on top of each other at once. But hey, take it easy. We just have to undertake one task at a time and complete the same to your best potential before moving on to the next one.
However, to help and ease a little burden off your shoulders, our CSS Career Services offers a multitude of ways to assist you in building a resume catered to you. They can help us with both only resumes, cover letters, letter of inquiries…but also provide insight into further steps of job search as well as applications. Being able to search through efficient resources is simply as important as tidying up our resumes.
There are several student employees who have walk-in hours at the Career services who can assist us to improve and get prepared for the upcoming fairs. I genuinely enjoy this one-on-one approach, as I strongly dislike sending a electronic copy and getting comments or just ‘marked up’ print back to work with. I enjoy this better as it not only helps one understand what they need to change but also elaborates on the tone of the sentences that may be required.
Hope we all find a time to get our rears at the Career Services. I promise it will only do great things to you and your resume!
