Snow is here!

Finally, to each and every Duluthians amazement, on the day after Christmas morning, we saw substantial snow. Snow that’s here to stay!

I personally, have been an admirer of snow, since where I come from in India, we have an above average tropical temperature maintained through majority of the year. All things associated to snow excite me. May it be cross country skiing or cozying up with a blanket, book and hot chocolate, I would be equally thrilled.

So that wonderful morning, I woke up next to a sweet face and we both made plans to walk around the block to a park that’s near our home and head to Mike’s Western Cafe. Given that we live just a couple blocks away, the walk didn’t absolutely dread me. So I put on all the warmest clothes (I get really cold) and some mittens. We made our way to the park, made snow angels…definitely a highlight, even had an aggressive snow fight…cause ‘everything is funny until Shivani gets hurt’. Just Kidding!

After about 20 minutes of play, we headed to Mike’s which was another 20 until we got there. We seated ourselves and waited to place our order. We both got distinct breakfast plates with combination of eggs, sausage, hash-browns, omelette, and toast. Umm..It was fulfilling!

We were fed, warm and happy. Ready to make our way back to pavilion. On our way we couldn’t help but talk about making these snow day memories special by doing something out of our daily routines. Like taking this walk on intent, normally we’d just drive. Or picking out a movie, making hot coco, and so many more precious memories to make.

So this Holiday season, don’t forget to make some…memories!
