Scholastica’s First-ever Annual Fishbowl 2018.

April 24, 2018, marked the beginning of a new college tradition for Scholastica with its first-ever ‘Annual FishBowl’. A small-scale portrayal of the big-screen show-Shark Tank was the central theme of this event organized by the SBT Student Club, led by Taryn Hersch and Matthew Rider with the support of their crew. Four business ideas were presented that evening to be assessed by a mix of four judges from distinct professional backgrounds. The long-awaited evening was Mic controlled and enthusiastic judges-Jason Chavez, Molly Solberg, Brian James and David Anstett, were introduced by Megan Perry-Spears. Our resourceful judges were able to let the participants takeaway a whole bunch of crucial feedback.

The four ideas were represented by groups and individuals alike, and were graded on a certain set criteria. Starting from left, Megan Edmunds and Hannah Geiger put forth their idea for ‘PopWallet’ a phone-case with a pop-socket and cardholder. Josh Helmer, Hannah Zeis, and Luke Buckton suggested their business scheme for the 3D-printed commodity – ‘Shin Gaurds’ Logan Davey presented his proposal for ‘See Me’, a social media platform for a niche market. Finally, Zach Edwards brought his vision to life by proposing his business model for ‘Zeboz Customz’, an apparel customization destination.

Zach’s service and product was not just an idea but an actual living business, as he already had customers vouching for him. Not only did he receive the 1st place through judges evaluations, but also bagged the People’s choice award for the evening.

Keep an eye out to read about an interview with the man himself to know more about Zeboz Customz!
