Advisement Week

This week is Advisement Week. During this week, students meet with their advisor to discuss what classes to take for next semester. Well, next semester is my last semester.

I decided my major early on in my first year, so now I have the option of experimenting with coures for my last semester. There is this class that my Medieval Philosophy professor plugged, a class on philosophy and feminism.

My professor said that Beyonce’s “Lemonade” would be apart of the course. I have to take this class! Also next semester, I’m taking a course on British Literature, and continuing an internship.

With my midterms coming up, it becomes more apparent that graduation is almost here. The first semester of my senior year is almost halfway done. There’s a part of me that wants graduation to be tomorrow so college can be over with. But, I know I’m going to miss this place more than I could ever imagine. There are times when I want a day to seem to last a thousand years. I want to take my time before I get to graduation.

It’s funny how something as simple as “Advisement Week” can make someone nostalgic and retrospective.
