A Historic Moment

Tomorrow on October 14th 2016, a historic moment will happen. We will have an inauguration for our first lay-woman president.

People keep asking me if I’m going. To which I say “Of course!” A moment like this only happens so often every couple of decades. Most students who attend this beautiful college don’t get to see such an event.

President Geary will be inaugurated as our 12th president. A few weeks ago, I had the fortunate opportunity to have a lunch with her and I was blown away. I have never been this excited for a president.

Firstly, the meeting was her idea. She invited a couple of students to eat with her for an afternoon. We sat around a table a discussed why we loved CSS, and talked about things we would like to see change.

President Geary is a woman who got to work right away, and I’m more than excited for this historic moment this coming Friday.
