Working out while on Internship

One of the really nice things about my internship in Glenwood was the access to the Wellness Center.

Originally I started working out as part of a fitness challenge that one of my classmates put together for her personal training business, but I started working out at the place I was staying at since I didn’t have a workout facility originally.

After about a week, I was acquainted to the Glacial Ridge Wellness Center and signed up with new employee perks. I was able to get two months of membership for $70 ($20 start-up, $25 dollar a month), but the kicker was that if you went 12 times in a month, you got $20 of your $25 dollar monthly fee back, resulting in a gym membership that cost you $5 a month as long as you went 12 times that month.

This was a great motivator for me to get into the gym and workout, plus I was part of that fitness challenge where I could now perform the “In the Gym” portion of the workout instead of “At Home” portion of the challenge.

They had a really good set-up here. It wasn’t anything over the top, but had all your basic equipment that was in really good shape (the facility is only a couple years only): Cardio machines, cable system, weight machines, a few squat racks, a studio, and a pool!
