Physical Therapy Club Kick-Off
On October 6th, the Physical Therapy Club had our very first meeting. I am a current PT Club rep along with one other 2nd year classmate and 3 1st year PT students. We had the most students attend since I have been a rep. It was fun to see a bunch of new faces who are interested in physical therapy. We started off the meeting with introductions and a get to know you game. We then opened it up for questions that undergraduate students had. There were TONS of questions; it was awesome! When we answer questions, we try and provide as much information as we can about all programs that we know about. Obviously we are a little biased towards CSS, but we know that it is important to provide information about other programs as well.
The PT Club, not only helps undergraduate students, we also help our current graduate students by hosting fundraisers to help our current students attend physical therapy conferences around the U.S. CSM is one of the biggest conferences our students attend. This year, it is in San Antonio, Texas and it is a gathering of over 11,000 Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Students, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Physical Therapist Assistant Students. This conference is a great networking and learning opportunity. They offer a bunch of classes to attend throughout the conference. A majority of our 2nd year class is going and we CANNOT wait!
