CSS Softball Alumni Weekend

Last weekend, the CSS Softball Team had their Alumni Weekend. I played softball for St. Scholastica from 2010-2014 during my undergraduate education. I played outfield and was a captain my senior year. Completing my undergrad degree in 2014, I get to enjoy Alumni Weekend as an Alum! I look forward to this weekend in many different ways:

  1. Reconnecting with previous teammates
  2. learning about different alumni that I didn’t play with
  3. There are always different festivities involved
  4. Brushing off cobwebs since last Alumni Weekend

This year, head coach, Rilee Dawson, hosted an alumni bonfire at her house Saturday night complete with food and beverage and lots of laughs. Then on Sunday, the alumni played the current team in a complete, 7-inning game. It was a beautiful day for it! I think I even got a little sun burnt. After that, we mixed current team members with alumni and played a few innings just for fun. It came to a conclusion when trusty T-rex came out for an appearance. Click this link: img_3433 to watch T-rex’s at bat! She was running a little too fast and deflated after she reached first. Needless to say, it was a weekend of fun and good times.
