A Reflection on Acceptance

On the 23rd, my Facebook kindly reminded me that I was accepted into PT school 2 years ago. That’s crazy to me.

  1. I can’t believe it has already been 2 years since that
  2. I can’t believe all the work that I put into getting in to PT School

I attended scholastica for my 4 years of undergraduate school where I majored in Psychology and minored in biology. I applied to PT school going into my senior year and applied to a few schools, but later found out I was waitlisted and ended up not getting in anywhere. So, I decided to attend the Master Exercise Physiology Master’s Program for a year and then apply to PT school again. In that year, I improved my application by attending the Master’s program, working full-time at a women’s drug and alcohol treatment center, and getting more shadowing hours under my belt. Well, I applied again (too many more schools) and got in! I was so ecstatic and overjoyed, that all the hard work payed off. I still am, and I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.
