La La Land

We watched the recently made La La Land today in the film course I have been taking this semseter. I’d seen it once before in theaters, but I didn’t like it as much the second time. When I first saw it, it was before the whole musical class had given me persepective on what scenes that film had been referencing. Let me tell you, La La Land references a lot of different material. It feels like this film was working off of a cheat sheet the entire time. Not that it makes this film bad, but it’s just a disappointment. Learning can both illuminate and change your life. Keep that in mind, dear readers.
