    Pat's Bio:
    My name is Pat Bigaouette. I am a Senior Biology major. I run on the cross country and track teams at Scholastica. I currently live in Somers Hall as the Residential Advisor for Ground Floor North. Also, I am actively involved in Scholastica's theater program and hope to get cast in one of the four shows this season. This summer I conducted clinical research at Hennepin County Medical Center in the Emergency room. I also traveled to New York City to pick up a friend from school and, of course, saw the show "Wicked" on Broadway.

Welcome Weekend!

With the start of school rapidly approaching, Residential Life is putting the final touches on WELCOME WEEKEND. Welcome Weekend is the first weekend students, who aren’t early arrivals, move into the residence halls. Welcome Weekend starts on September 2nd and goes through the first day of classes. Here is a list of all the fun activities Scholastica is planning:


Friday September 2nd

10am- 3pm: On Campus Student Housing Move-In Scholastica Welcome Week Check-In Refreshments in Somers Main Entrance

3-4pm: Commuter Student Social Tower Hall Intercultural Center

4-4:30pm President Welcome, Pledge Ceremony—Mitchell Auditorium (Friends and Family Welcome!)

4:30-6pm: Saints BBQ—The Greenview (Friends and Family Welcome)

6-9pm Residential Life—Mitchell Auditorium

9-11pm Camp Fires Come hang out and meet new people! Make ‘smores!—Mitchell Park Lot


Saturday September 3rd

8-9am: Brunch (Bring ID card)—The Greenview

9:15-11:15: Soul 2 Soul, Student Affairs—Mitchell Auditorium

11:30-2:30pm:  Welcome to CSS Bash! The Resident Hall Association (RHA) brings you good food and inflatable fun! — Reif Gymnasium

5pm-8pm:  Explore Canal Park. Busses will depart from the front of Somers Hall starting at 4:45 p.m. Explore downtown, visit the Lift Bridge and enjoy dinner with new friends. Last bus will leave Canal Park at 8:00 p.m. to head back to campus.

8-10pm: Relax and get ready to do some dancing!

 10pm-1am: Club CSS. Like to dance? Drop it at our video dance party equipped with a photo booth!—Storms Den


Sunday September 4th

9:30-11am:  Brunch (Bring ID card)—The Greenview

9:00-11pm: Dueling Pianos International. Ever see a dueling piano show?! It’s all about audience participation! DESSERT BAR—Somers Main Lounge


Monday September 5th

7:30-9am: Breakfast (Bring ID card)—The Greenview

8-10am:  College Learning Assessments FREE giveaway for everyone that participates in this survey!

11:30-1pm: Lunch (Bring ID Card)—The Greenview

1-4pm: THE PRICE IS RIGHT GAME! Come on Down and take a chance to win big prizes! Sorry no new cars—Somers Main Lounge

4:30-6pm:  Dinner (Bring ID card)—The Greenview

7:30-8:30:  HAHAHAHA! CSS welcomes renowned comedian Josh Wade to the stage!—Mitchell Auditorium


Tuesday September 6th

FIRST DAY OF CLASSES! EEEK! Look out for the Student Affairs Annual Hot Dog Stand!
