    Pat's Bio:
My name is Pat Bigaouette. I am a Senior Biology major. I run on the cross country and track teams at Scholastica. I currently live in Somers Hall as the Residential Advisor for Ground Floor North. Also, I am actively involved in Scholastica's theater program and hope to get cast in one of the four shows this season. This summer I conducted clinical research at Hennepin County Medical Center in the Emergency room. I also traveled to New York City to pick up a friend from school and, of course, saw the show "Wicked" on Broadway.

Stress During Finals Week

As I said in an earlier post, finals week is right around the corner. I hope you all took my advice and utilized the many academic help resources St. Scholastica offers. For those of you who haven’t, and are currently stress, I have come up with a list to keep calm as we move through finals week.

1)   Get up 15 earlier than you normally do.

2)   Set priorities.

3)   Avoid negative people/situations

4)   Use time wisely

5)   Unclutter your life.

6)   Smile

7)   Schedule study breaks.

8)   Believe in yourself.

9)   Dance

10) Listen to music.

11) Leisure read before bed.

12) Strive for excellence, not perfection.

13)Exercise.

14)Eat healthy

15)Stand up and stretch.

16)Have a plan B

17) Doodle

18)Do a word search.

19) Learn a new song.

20) Take a walk.

21) Cook a meal.

22) Remember that stress is an attitude.

23)  Watch a funny YouTube video.

24) Keep a journal

25) Remember that finals week is only a week long 😀

This is my 8th and final finals week at St. Scholastica. I must say, I do not enjoy them, but think about how good you will feel when you finish your last final! A summer full of beaches, boating, fun and sunshine awaits.
