Room To Myself

The past three years I’ve lived on campus it has always been me and two other roommates sharing a two bedroom apartment together. And each time I ended up having to share a bedroom with someone else while one of my other roommates got a room to themselves. Which overall was fine to me because I really don’t care but I did get a little tiresome not having my own space. But this year I got really lucky because I not only got moved into one of the bigger apartments (that being Kerst sadly) I also only have one roommate so we each go a room to ourselves.

It is really nice to be able to do everything on my own time and not really have to worry about what someone else wants. I love not having to worry about things like getting my work done before someone else wants to go to sleep or bugging someone because I want to sleep. And I don’t have to worry about being super quiet when I wake up in the morning and have to get dressed in the dark to try and not wake up the other person. And I can finally film so of my videos in my room without worrying about getting in someone else’s way or have them come in and ruin a take so then I have to wander around campus to find another place to film. The only things I have to worry about is sharing the bathroom and kitchen which so far hasn’t been a problem.

So here’s to hoping that things stay like this for the rest of the year and that I don’t get a second roommate somewhere down the line.
