The art of note-taking

My semester officially started this week, 4 academic days after the school opened its doors to the community. I was behind in almost all of my classes and knew I had to put in some work and cover as much ground on my own as I could. It turns out, friends I’m taking the class with are quite the note-takers as they provided well written notes that helped out a lot, especially in my Linear Algebra class.

There’s a difference between taking notes and taking good notes and I’m happy to say most people I have come across at CSS (and who take notes in class) had well-written and excellent notes. To learn how to take good notes, one has to know how the instructor teaches and try to match their note-taking style with that.

It is also better to have handwritten notes as these are often more detailed than notes typed on a computer during class.
