2019 African Heritage Night
Today has been a busy day! I had just got back from attending the 2019 Midwest Instruction and Computing Symposium at NDSU when I quickly prepped to join the fun at the African Heritage Night event hosted by CSS United for Africa and UMD’s Black Students Association. This year’s event theme was “Many Places One People”. This was my fourth Heritage Night event and despite being tired, I was glad to partake in the celebrations. Some of the highlights from the event, besides the food, were the Titambe West African Dance Ensemble, UMD’s Oromo Student Association dancers, the BSA dance group, singer/hip hop artist Daniel Oluwaseyi Olinloye, spoken word performers, and CSS U4A dancers.
