Star Wars

Maybe this post doesn’t specifically tie to Saint Scholastica. But Star Wars has been a big part of my life and with the upcoming new film to the series, it’s something I’m pretty excited about. I know I can’t be the only college student excited. So I’ve decided to make a list of Reasons Why Luke Skywalker Is All Of Us. (Spoilers ahead if you’re one of those who hasn’t seen any Star Wars films. If you haven’t seen them, you should.)

  • Starts out as a whiny kid. But eventually Luke (and, hopefully, all of us) grow into be masters in our fields.
  • I’m pretty sure most of us would take the chance to be a Jedi.
  • We’d rather develop our own hobbies than do as our parents would want us to do.
  • I mean unless our parents were Jedis, then following in their path might be—okay that is not the best thing when we’re using Luke as an example.
  • We have to do our homework. Just as Luke had to learn to use the force, we too must complete tasks to graduate.
  • Lightsabers are cool.
  • Loss is something that can be learned from. Though Luke lost his mentors, they continued to guide him throughout his journey.
  • Did I mention being a Jedi would be awesome yet?
