Christmas Shopping

Christmas shopping on a budget means a few things: starting early in order to spread out your spending and buying things with more meaning than value if possible.

And limiting who you purchase gifts for, unfortunately. There are a lot of people in my life I wish I could buy presents for, but it just doesn’t work that way. Not when resources are limited. Money is tight for students in college. So everyone is very understanding of this, but as someone who likes finding gifts for other people, having to limit myself is important. There will be plenty of time for gift giving in my later career.

After all, that’s the reason to go to college, for that whole career thing.

I just hope for very few awkward interactions of being given gifts by people who I do not have a gift for in return. Even if the person understands, it’s not the best feeling in the world to receive without giving.
