Oh, hi there.

Alright. It’s been five days since I last posted.

Clearly, I’m not cut out for this.

BUT I have a mere two days left in the NaBloPoMo challenge, and I already told you, I refuse to be defeated. So, please forgive my lack of posts (you are all very forgiving, much thanks) and allow me to get you get you caught up.

Day 24: THANKSGIVING! Started my day by running a 5k with over 1600 gobbling & galloping T-day enthusiasts (great way to get energized for the weekend & enjoy the balmy, 50-degree weather).  Drove to Eden Prairie to spend Thanksgiving with Keith’s family. Enjoyed a beautiful dinner. Watched Olive play with her poochie cousins. Lapsed into a turkey/cake pop coma. Silently reflected on what an amazing year it has been, and what an amazing year lies ahead. Gave thanks for my husband and my family. Felt very blessed.

Day 25: Black Friday. Didn’t do any of the crazy 12am/3am/5am shopping, but did manage to venture out to the Eden Prairie mall around early-afternoon. Bought gifts for my nieces and nephews. Bought a new phone. Played with said phone just about all day. Checked into a hotel in St. Paul late-afternoon with KJ and prepared ourselves for yet another night of gluttony at this restaurant (it’s one of our favorites). Spent much of the night being thankful for elastic-banded pants and chocolate covered strawberries (yes, those two things go together very well).

Day 26: Simply Saturday. Headed back home. Bid farewell to the unseasonably warm November weather. Did some more shopping, this time at Target. Got Erbs and Gerbs because we were too lazy to cook dinner. Enjoyed a night in wrapping gifts, straightening up my house, and reading this book (I’M HOOKED!) while Keith rocked out at a Hairball concert. Played with my phone some more. Cuddled with Olive. Appreciated the quiet and calmness after a busy weekend out of town. Savored my me-time.

Day 27: Ohhh Sunday. Slept in. Late. Then napped. Hard. Grocery shopped. Cooked. Collapsed. Watched A Muppet Christmas Carol. Spent that day being grateful for the coziness of my bed and the lack of responsibilities that allowed me to enjoy such coziness guilt-free. Getting tired just writing this post…

Day 28: Back to work Monday. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. Actually enjoyed getting caught up and seeing the familiar, friendly faces of my coworkers. Made a back-to-work checklist. Checked stuff of it. Chatted with my mom (she’s the best). Did the teensiest bit of cyber-Monday-shopping. Scored a few great deals at B&N.com. Capped off my day with a 2-hour long yoga class. Ahhhh. Couldn’t have come at a better time. So thankful for yoga and the relaxation it brings.

And there you have it! Thanks for sticking with me to the end. Stay tuned later today for my Day 29 post. Almost there…
