Welp, the Christmas decorations are out at Target which can only mean one thing: it’s November! That unseasonably warm fall we had? In the rear view mirror. Big time. Especially now that the Northland has seen its first sprinkling of snow.

As much as I loathe being cold, shoveling, and winter in general, I have to admit I’ve been looking forward to some good chilly temps ever since returning from my trip to Korea this summer (experienced 90s+ temps and humidity for three weeks straight. Note to self, monsoon season in Korea is NOTHING like Minnesota weather). The other day, I “winter-ized” my closet and found myself actually looking forward to wearing boots and sweaters for the first time. Ever. Winter is coming, right Thrones fans?

And then came this, the cherry on top of my winter-longing sundae, a sweet little gem of a slideshow from BuzzFeed entitled “34 places that are even better during the winter.” Wouldn’t you know? Minnesota made the list… (I used to have a waitressing job in Knife River, MN – shout-out to my pals up the North Shore!)
