Hi everyone, welcome to my Follow Me page! My full name is Laurajae Johnson, but you can call me Laura. I have been a part of the Saints community for nearly ten years, as a CSS student (twice over), as an active member of our Alumni Board of Directors, and as a counselor on our fantastic Admissions team—I am St. Scholastica through and through! Day 30: The end!

I did it! (Kind of.)

WE did it, and it’s been a fun ride!

But I’m very happy it’s over. Don’t worry, you’ll still hear from me, but from here on out, my posts will be a little less guilt-driven and little more free-will. I wanted to do something special to commemorate my last post in the NaBloPoMo challenge, but lately it seems that my creativity seems to dwindle around 7pm, so all you get is this bulleted list of things I’m thankful for today:

— 4-wheel drive, I heart my Chevy Equinox, especially during the first heavy snowfall of the season

Pinterest-inspired craft parties, enjoyed one of these with girlfriends last night & discovered I’m not entirely hopeless when it comes to arts and crafts

— Great doctor visits, met with my physician today and Baby J is healthy and kick-y as ever!

— This group of dudes & dudettes (look for our Xmas card in your mail soon!)

Admissions staff holiday picture

— Holiday traditions, 2 years ago KJ and I started celebrating our engagement anniversary (Dec 2) by exchanging Christmas movies. We’ve accumulated a good collection (Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, Muppet Christmas Carol, It’s a Wonderful Life), and tonight we exchanged our movies a few nights early; we must be really excited for the holiday season. My movie from KJ: White Christmas. KJ’s movie from me: old-school Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer/Frosty the Snowman. Can’t wait to watch ’em!

— Great hair days. You girls know what I’m talking about.

— The fact that today is November 30 and the NaBlaPoMo challenge is officially over. Yahoo! See you guys soon!
