Day 22: Home sweet home

You know how some news stories just stick with you?

During my morning drive to work, I heard an NPR story about home foreclosures, and a newly-implemented review process meant to offer remediation for folks who were treated unfairly or improperly during their foreclosure experience (you can read/hear the full story here).

This isn’t the first story I’ve heard about home foreclosures. In fact, it seems to be a topic that crops up on a weekly, if not daily, basis. But for some reason, this morning’s story struck a chord with me, and I haven’t been able to shake it.

So today, in a time of financial uncertainty and strife, I am especially thankful to have a place to call my own. I’m thankful to live in a wonderful neighborhood, surrounded by great neighbors and friends, and I’m thankful for my home sweet home.
