LSU went to Chicago for The United States Hispanic Leadership Institute this weekend. We left Duluth at noon last Thursday, and arrived in Chicago at 8:30pm. Our day began at 8am on Friday. We had various workshops to choose from throughout the conference. ” “Ni soy de aquí, ni soy de allá”, was one of the workshops we chose to go to. It was about the complex identity Latinos face. Some may feel like they’re not latino enough or american enough. They’re caught in a internal struggle trying to figure out where they fit in. I can say that I’ve been in that place.

Tomorrow at LSU we’ll be talking about the workshops we attended. Anyone is welcome to come at 6:30 in the Intercultural Center.
