    Kathryn's Bio:
Hello! My name is Kathryn McCarrick. I grew up in Saint Paul as an only child. I am an Elementary Education major hoping to specialize in 4th, 5th or 6th grade. I chose CSS because of the vibrant and wholesome community that inspires me to be a better person every day. In my free time I hang out with friends, study and watch various Netflix comedy specials (Bo Burnham is an all-time favorite). On campus I am involved in inkeeping, where students can choose to stay with me in my dorm overnight, and the choral program.

My Weeknight

Everyone on campus spends their weeknights differently. Some lock themselves away in their room. Some go to the mall. Some go out on the town. And some, go spend time in other people’s room.

As for me, I spend time with two of my future roommates. Juli and Aleah. This time is usually spent watching different Netflix shows on our various laptops. This thought horrifies my parents. Why spend time with people if you don’t even talk to them? The short answer is company. To know that they are there to answer homework questions, order random Chinese food or pizza just ‘cause or sit quietly and do nothing is fun.

To some (extroverts) this may sound like a total nightmare but as we are all very much extremely introverted, we do just fine.

In times where the stress of college is too much, we all sit around a laptop and watch stand-up comedy but just being in one another’s company makes dorm life a little more bearable.
