Surrogate Parents

I love living in Duluth for the summer! It is a gorgeous city that has so much to do. But one thing that I have missed about living at home is a good home-cooked meal. I’ve become a great cook to make spaghetti, soups, and sandwiches. However, they never taste as good as when someone else cooks them. Tonight I’m getting spoiled. There is a small group of us are going to have a home-cooked meal at John’s parents house. It is a Mexican themed meal, I cannot wait to eat!!

My suggestion to anyone that goes to college is to make friends with someone who’s from Duluth. Having surrogate Duluth parents is the smartest thing to do when you are away from your own. Besides for home-cooked meals they know local businesses (if you need a dentist appt, vet, mechanic, a tow company).
