Strange sight to see

My initial thought was that someone was starting a new trend and removing scarecrows from yards until I saw the sign that stated “By 2016 4th street won’t have any trees.” Then the clothing on the trees made sense. These trees are located on 4th street and 19th avenue. I read a few months ago about the city cutting down 5 huge trees further east on 4th street. I’m not sure how valid the sign is, but this is one of the many random things you will see in Duluth.
