OTs in the Factory

Who would have guessed that Occupational Therapists would be seen at a paper mill, or tire manufacturing company? Well, today we had a speaker come into our class and explained how Occupational Therapists go into factories and help with ergonomics and adapting the environment (if possible). Industrial Occupational Therapy is something that I have not heard much about, it was awesome to hear from a therapist who travels around the country to visit factories/companies to help implement new techniques. This clarifies that Occupational Therapy is a growing occupation.
