    I recently graduated from the MS Occupational Therapy program. During my undergraduate program at CSS, I earned a double minor in Psychology and American Sign Language (ASL). I plan to become an Occupational Therapist and work with special needs children. I'm actively involved in the ASL and Deaf Culture Club on campus. I've been living in Duluth for three years now, and have enjoyed everything about it.

Empty Bowl, Full Belly

The Empty Bowl fundraiser is put on through the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. This organization provides food for more than 3.8 million meals annually to people in need throughout northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.

What does an empty bowl have to do with anything? — Well, throughout the year the Duluth Community creates ceramic bowls to donate to this fundraiser. Then the community can graze through the hundreds of bowls and pick one out- each bowl is $20. Then you can go upstairs and eat soup! (typically from a different bowl..)

A friend and I went to this, I think its awesome to go and contribute. Here is a picture of just some of the bowl that we were looking at:
