Damiano Center

Today is the last day that I need to volunteer at the Damiano Center Kids Cafe. It was such a blast to go every week and play with the kids. As a volunteer I would play numerous games or plan an event for the kids that come to the after school program. Then we would all eat dinner (provided for free) and then help clean up. The Damiano Center is a great program that is set up to help out people in need. The Kids Cafe is focused on giving children a safe environment where they can come play, participate in events, and get a healthy meal. They focus on educating the children on healthy food choices so they will bring the knowledge back home. After going there for over a month, I have developed relationships with many of the kids and will miss them. If only I had more time in my week…
